Description

One of the greatest mysteries of the pre-Columbian civilizations is observed in the Archaeological Park of San Agustín, which, together with Alto de las Piedras and Alto de los Ídolos are World Heritage Sites. Privileged by its lush vegetation, steep canyons carved in volcanic rock, and its warm people, this place is enchanting and welcoming at once.
San Agustín is a municipality known as the archaeological capital of the department of Huila, located 220 km from the provincial capital of Neiva. Travel time between both destinations is approximately 6 hours by bus or 5 hours by private shuttle.
All tour packages described below are a full day and the price is per person, with a minimum of two persons required and 48 hours minimum advance notice. The guide speaks Spanish with very limited English.

Every package includes:
- pickup from and return to your hotel in San Agustin. If you need to be picked up from Neiva, just let us know and we can arrange transportation.
- entrance tickets to protected areas.
- Guide (Spanish). Guides speaking English, German, French, or Italian can be procured for an additional fee.

It has its narrowest section in San Agustin, just 70 kilometers from its source, measuring 2.20 meters. -- Visit the El Mortiño waterfall. The Salto del Mortiño is approximately 200 meters high and is formed by the stream La Chorrera, which falls on the rocks of the Mortiño canyon.
